Director of Energy Engineering
JELCO is seeking a Director of Energy Engineering to lead and grow a new business segment focused on advanced energy systems, infrastructure, and technology-driven solutions across our development and industrial portfolio. This role is both strategic and technical—requiring deep expertise in energy engineering alongside the leadership ability to build a team, develop client relationships, and scale a business line within a rapidly expanding organization.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or nuclear energy systems, paired with an entrepreneurial mindset and proven success in delivering complex, multidisciplinary energy projects. This is a senior role designed for a self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and is motivated by building new capabilities from the ground up. This senior role has a direct path to “Principle” in the organization which shall be based on achievements of long-term milestones within the organization.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
-Minimum of 10-15 years of progressing experience in energy engineering, power systems, industrial energy solutions, advanced energy technologies, or related fields.
-Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing complex technical projects, procurement, and supporting business growth initiatives.
-Strong working knowledge of energy systems design, analysis, and performance optimization.
-Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies, utilities, industrial clients, engineering partners, or energy technology providers.
-Proven track record in evaluating, designing, or implementing energy-related systems—generation, efficiency, mechanical/electrical infrastructure, or emerging energy technologies.
-MBA strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in business development, strategic planning, or P&L responsibility.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

-Deep technical understanding of energy systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, process heat, combined heat and power, thermal systems, solar, small modular nuclear reactors, generation assets, or relevant industrial systems.
-Familiarity with energy modeling, simulation, M&V frameworks, and performance analysis tools.
-Ability to assess markets, identify business opportunities, and develop service offerings aligned with JELCO’s growth strategy.
-Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with engineering, construction, finance, regulatory, and client stakeholders, including government, and or public-private clients.

Key Responsibilities
-Lead the creation and growth of JELCO’s Energy Engineering business segment, including service development, staffing strategy, and internal capability building.
-Oversee technical assessments, energy system designs, and engineering deliverables across multiple project types.
-Collaborate with executive leadership to define the strategic direction, market positioning, and commercial strategy for the energy segment.

JELCO is hiring an office and field-based Project Manager to assist and facilitate a growing company's day-to-day needs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an estimator/project manager for a general contractor, an architectural/design project manager, or an owner's rep construction manager. In addition, a successful individual in this role will be a very organized self-starter eager to grow, learn, and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience
-Minimum 5 years of experience in a proven "Cradle to Grave" project management leadership role.
-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related Industry.
-Intermediate to advanced understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other related construction knowledge bases, including project delivery methods.
-Ability to read and understand advanced construction drawings.
-Possess a profound knowledge of construction accounting principles.
-Polished and professional demeanor and communication style, both verbal and written.
-Have a high level of proficiency in applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Procore, jetbuild, or other related construction management applications.
